“Unknowingly, the mission of Tao Fong Porcelain Workshop has been restarted for a year. We are grateful for the support from the public and the media. Your feedback and participation have enabled these utensils to be used, truly showcasing the Christian values and beauty. Porcelain, as an artwork and daily utility, not only has practical value but also represents a cultural and spiritual heritage. By using and maintaining porcelain well, we can feel the information and cultural history it contains. Now, the ‘Sing Hallelujah to the Lord’ series has been fully launched, and utensils of all sizes have become famous on Tao Fong Shan. We are now launching the entire series of sets, hoping to better promote the spirit of Christ and express reverence and love for God.
[Design Concept]
When it comes to utensils, shape and meaning are always inseparable. “Sing Hallelujah” is a Christian poem that is often used in worship, praise, and gratitude. Its name comes from the Hebrew word “הַלְּלוּיָהּ” (Hallelujah), which means to praise God. The auspicious clouds on the porcelain symbolize the transmission of our praise to heaven. This visual effect evokes memories for Christians, seeing the text as hearing the sound.
[Materials and Crafts]
As always, Tao Fong Shan selects white porcelain as the base. With the development of modern industry, the technique of hand-painting each piece of porcelain has been replaced by manual decal application. This not only increases production but also reduces prices, making the products more accessible. This series pursues visual balance, especially in the use of color, such as the contrast between deep red and grass green, and between orange and blue.
