Tam established Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction. Subsequently, the staff at the Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre envisioned a way for them to earn a livelihood. In 1947, the Centre founded the Art Ministry and invited Mr. Tse Zhong Ng to teach Cantonese porcelain painting and preside over firing the artworks.
