{"id":9403,"date":"2021-06-26T10:33:34","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T02:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tfscc.org\/?p=9403"},"modified":"2021-06-26T10:56:09","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T02:56:09","slug":"gospel-light-in-darkness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taofongshan-staging.pandawork.com\/en\/resources\/gospel-light-in-darkness\/","title":{"rendered":"Light in the Darkness"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Today\u2019s scripture sharing is Micah 7:1-10, where the prophet Micah could not help feeling sad for the people in the Kingdom of Judah after witnessing its sins, corruption, and decay.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cThe faithful have been swept from the land; not one upright person remains,\u201d he sighed. People there would frame their own, \u201chunt each other with nets.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:2<\/span> He reprimanded those in power for not only are they \u201cexperts at doing evil\u201d, but also the \u201cGovernment officials and judges take bribes.\u201d They were openly breaching the law and engaged in corruption, doing unjust things; those with authority abused their power and conspired with one another. The prophet ridiculed those so-called \u201dbest\u201d and \u201cmost upright\u201d people and compared them to \u201cbrier\u201d and \u201cthorn hedge\u201d, which are worthless and God\u2019s curse, and will be eventually burned. The interpersonal relationship had been distorted, trust was lost between people, one had to protect him\/herself from others. \u201cDo not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend. Even with the woman who lies in your embrace.\u201c <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:5<\/span> There was no affection in a family where \u201cA son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:6<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cHe will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.\u201d<br \/><br \/><\/h4>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p>God saw all the sins of Judah, The Prophet Micah declared, \u201cThe day God visits you has come,\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:4<\/span> people ought to fear, because the enemy will conquer all of Judah and its Kingdom will fall; the Jews will be abused, mocked, and questioned, \u201cWhere is the Lord your God?\u201d Facing with the destruction of his own home and suffering of his own\u2014the prophet did not get discouraged, but rather hopeful, \u201cI watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:7<\/span> He shouted at the enemies who now wantonly oppressed the Jews, \u201cDo not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:8<\/span> He acknowledged that they have offended God in the past, therefore they \u201cmust endure the Lord\u2019s fury\u201d. Yet God will save his people; he knew that God will answer their prayers and give them justice. He looks forward to his arrival, \u201cHe will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:9<\/span> He believes there will come a day where he sees his enemy being punished for their wrongdoings, and \u201ctrampled underfoot like mire in the streets.\u201d <span style=\"color: #114d3c;\">Micah 7:10<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The wicked can destroy everything of ours but they can never stop us from sowing good seeds.<br \/><br \/><\/h4>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p>In the current world of injustice where it is failing at distinguishing right from wrong\u2014the wicked are more arrogant and domineering than ever, whereas the righteous are repeatedly being wronged. The good people and things were stepped on and crushed; making us all feel disheartened, angry, and powerless. While it may seem that we are unable to fight against Satan, the prophet Micah reminded us not to be intimidated by the darkness before us, but rather believe that God\u2019s salvation and justice will eventually arrive. As the American civil rights leader Martin Luther King said, \u201cWe must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.\u201d The wicked can destroy everything of ours but they can never stop us from sowing good seeds.
